Start Something You Can’t Finish

dont start

The other day I was thinking of popular catch phrases and one really caught my interest: “Don’t start something you can’t finish.” My interpretation of this phrase is that if you think cannot do something don’t bother trying at all. It implies that attempting a task which is new or difficult should be avoided because you could fail. The logic makes perfect sense but I refuse to follow it. By avoiding new challenges and obstacles we rob ourselves of the opportunity to gain experience in that area. Just think about this for a moment, everything we do was new to us at some point or another. People don’t just wake up knowing how to ride a bike or with the ability to type on a computer. We had to learn to do these things, but everyone has to start somewhere. So I challenge everyone to something start something they can’t finish. You just might surprise yourself.

  1. With havin so much written content do you ever run into any issues of plagorism or copyright infringement? My website has a lot of exclusive content I’ve either authored myself or outsourced but it appears a lot of it is popping it up all over the internet without my permission. Do you know any techniques to help prevent content from being stolen? I’d truly appreciate it.

    • Hi! Thank you for your comment! I don’t usually run into the problem of plagiarism or copyright infringement personally so unfortunately I cannot give any advice there. Sorry!

  2. Its like you read my mind! You appear to know so much about this, like you wrote the book in it or something. I think that you could do with a few pics to drive the message home a little bit, but other than that, this is fantastic blog. A great read. I will certainly be back.
